The Narrows Center is holding a Winter Food Drive. Our goal is to help fight hunger in our community. You can help by donating canned goods and non-perishable food items whenever you visit us for a concert or to view our gallery exhibitions.

The food banks are always short on food during the winter season regardless of economic situations and hardships. However, due to some of the toughest financial times our country has seen in decades, food shortages are at epidemic proportions.

All non-perishable foods will be accepted. As a reminder for your grocery list, the following items are always appreciated:

• Canned Hearty Soups, Stews and Chili
• Peanut Butter and Jelly
• Macaroni and Cheese
• Canned meats: ham, chicken, meat spreads
• Canned fish: tuna, salmon, sardines, other fish
• Rice and Beans (canned or dried beans and peas)
• Evaporated or powdered milk
• Canned Fruits and Vegetables
• Hot and cold breakfast cereals
• Baking mixes: pancake, corn bread, quick breads
• Pastas and canned sauces
• Canned juices
